As the weather warms up and flowers begin to bloom, our taste buds crave something light, refreshing, and easy to drink. Here are a few types of wine that are perfect for springtime sipping:
Rosé: She's a classic. Rosé is the quintessential spring wine. Its light pink hue and fruity flavors make it a refreshing option on warm days. Rosé is versatile and pairs well with a wide range of foods, including salads, seafood, and grilled meats. It’s also a great choice for outdoor gatherings, as it’s easy to drink and won’t weigh you down. Yay, wine in public spaces
Sauvignon Blanc: Another great option for spring is Sauvignon Blanc. This crisp, acidic white wine is perfect for sipping on a sunny day. Sauvignon Blanc has citrusy notes and pairs well with lighter fare like salads, grilled vegetables, and seafood. BONUS: If you manage to actually pronounce it right, you end up sounding pretty freaking intelligent.
Pinot Grigio: If you’re looking for a white wine that’s easy to drink and pairs well with a variety of foods, Pinot Grigio is a great choice. This dry, light-bodied wine has a crisp acidity and flavors of green apple and citrus. Something about this wine just screams "drink me on a picnic date".
Gamay: For red wine lovers, Gamay is a great option for spring. This light-bodied red wine is low in tannins and has fruity flavors that pair well with lighter food like grilled chicken and roasted vegetables. Gamay is also a great option for those who prefer chilled red wines, as it’s best served slightly below room temperature.
Overall, when it comes to wine for spring, look for options that are light, refreshing, and easy to drink. Whether you prefer a crisp white wine or a fruity rosé, there’s a wine out there that’s perfect for enjoying on a sunny spring day. If you're looking to share a sip with friends, we've got the perfect cocktail napkins to give your next wine club meeting a little extra flavor.

But for now…the general public still has access to this beloved app which has entertained us through huge things like the global pandemic and small things like tuning out our significant others.
We might as well share some of the Pretty Alright Goods staff’s FAVORITE vids.

]]>Ah, springtime. That magical time of year when flowers bloom, birds chirp, and allergies flourish. Nothing says "welcome back, sunshine" like a case of runny nose and itchy eyes.
Okay...maybe springtime sucks. But it does have some redeeming qualities! Like spring fashion!

They're colorful! They're quippy! They're sure to land you a compliment or two at your next ice cream social. That's a spring thing, right?
As we embark on this glorious season of sneezing and cleaning, let's all take a moment to appreciate the true blessing of springtime: feeling comfortable and looking confident in pretty pastels.

We made a playlist!
It doesn’t necessarily make up for all the things women have done for our world…but man, there are some BOPS on this thing. So enjoy our little collection of songs featuring all female artists, and make sure to tell a lady in your life: “thanks a bunch!”
]]>On top of this press feeling historic and awesome, watching it at work is kind of mesmerizing. The Heidelberg grabs blank pieces of thick cotton paper and then forms an impression on the paper with an inked plate, one at a time. Fun fact: we have a unique plate for every single one of our cards.
So next time you’re in town and want a flaky funky vibe…check out Layered! You will probably see one of us there.
]]>We went ahead and made a little Spotify playlist (because mailing out mixtapes feels a little bit dated).
Our MVP of the playlist 'Grrrls by Lizzo' was submitted by office assistant/website support/printing superhero, Ashley! Enjoy our musical stylings and circle back next week for another blog update from us!
]]>The passing of Queen Elizabeth II has reminded us of two hard truths. Truth #1: The logistics of the British monarchy are both concerning and confusing. And truth #2: loss is an inevitable part of life. Everyone experiences grief. But unlike the royal family, who get to share their grief with the world, many of your loved ones may end up feeling isolated in their pain. Talking about our feelings can already be awkward and difficult. How do you express your love and solidarity without coming across as empty and cliché? We hope these cards might be a start.
Casserole Card
If there’s one thing that genuinely helps when you’re going through a tough time, it’s knowing where your next meal is coming from. Delivering food to grieving loved ones is a practice as old as time, but think of this greeting card as the cherry on top. Or I guess the crispy onions on top? We’re still talking about casserole right?
This Fucking Sucks Card
Who needs flowery language? Losing a loved one fucking sucks! We’re sure your recipient will agree.
Okay Card
It’s important to recognize that people can have incredibly varied reactions to loss. Some days you might feel grounded enough to actually work from home. Other days you’re swaddled in a blanket, surrounded by empty bags of Flamin' Hot Cheetos. Both of those phases are valid, and you want to show that you’ll support your recipient through it all.
Words Fail Card
Well…it’s true. If none of the previous cards are speaking to you, this one just might. Because at the end of the day…your grieving loved one doesn’t need an elegant soliloquy. They just want to know someone cares.
Though these cards may not be suitable for sending condolences to the royal family, they may just be the perfect conversation starters for the grieving people in your personal life. Give them a try.
Get straight to the point. You just elevated your friendship into classy pen pal territory. That’s a big deal and you should definitely brag about it. This card literally speaks for itself. But I mean…you probably should still put a sweet message or letter inside. Give a little life update! Or just continue bragging about how good of a friend you are! The world is your oyster.
It sucks to be far away from your loved ones when they’re going through a tough time. Sometimes a text or a call can’t illustrate how much you want to be there for them. We got you covered with the power of language arts. Use this card to paint a vivid picture of how much you’re willing to hold your friend down! Or up? I’m losing track of the metaphor, honestly.
Gossip honestly tastes better when you’re miles and miles away from the source. It’s so much easier to judge people who are completely outside your social circle. Another sneaky benefit of having long distance friends! Commit to catching up by sending this greeting card.
Okay stick with me here. Aren’t you tired of the same ole’ boring apologetic text. You know, when you forget to reply to your friend’s message and rush to come up with an excuse so you don’t look like a self-absorbed sociopath. What if you use that situation to open a new line of communication! Mail! Ignore their text and respond with some really cute postage featuring this card!
Are the creative communication juices finally flowing? We thought so! Remember, every card purchased comes with a free stamp! We’re basically setting you up for this whole pen pal thing!
I can see it already. A perfect summer day at the pool or at the beach. Wearing just enough clothes to show off your skin while avoiding a public indecency charge. We thought pink would work best for this particular napkin. Buns & suns. Pink & gold. It just makes sense.
You know those parties that are just set up to be chaotic from the start? I’m talking about high school reunions. I’m talking about drinking games at family functions. I’m talking about dinners where somebody made mac and cheese with ritz cracker crumbs. This is the kind of cocktail napkin you want to see at those events. It affirms what we all know: something Tiktok worthy is coming out of this night.
Those days you never want to end. Surrounded by all your favorite people. This napkin is serving you up an ice cream social fantasy. It manifests office parties that end with everyone going home early. Somebody brought their kid to a day party and he’s blowing a ridiculous amount of bubbles, but it adds to the ambiance. Yeah, best day ever for sure.
You know those parties you show up to with the sole intention of stuffing your face? Sometimes you can feel so relaxed at events like these that you simply...slip up and dip up. Happens to the best of us. But maybe next time you should just put the dip you need onto your own plate. Pretty Alright Goods, we share pretty alright solutions to life’s conundrums.
Let’s Pour One Out For Our Youth Napkin
It’s hour 2 of a party, you’re only one drink deep. You feel like you’re having fun…but you also feel like you could be having way more fun in bed with your favorite Netflix series. That’s when it hits you. Your wild partying years are done. You look around the room. Not a keg stand in sight. There’s nobody calling for another round of shots…just endless rounds of smalltalk. Hopefully this relatable napkin can pull you away from your newfound existential dread. You know...because it’s pink!
That’s all folks! We’ve provided the napkins and the imagery, chasing that perfect summer party is up to you now! Good luck!
]]>Cooler - Cat Girl Summer Sticker
Nothing represents a cool drink on a hot day better than a well decorated cooler. Now is your chance to have one of your own. Imagine the excitement you’ll incite when you roll up to your next pool party with a stickered up cooler filled to the brim with refreshing goodies. Bonus points if your stickers make a statement. Cat Girl Summer awareness baby. Let’s make it a thing.
Luggage - TikTok Is My Life Coach Sticker
Don’t you hate accidentally grabbing the wrong suitcase at baggage claim? Make your luggage stand out by strategically applying some eye-catching stickers. You’ll find your bags easier AND you’ll give some baggage claim bystanders something to “ooo” and “aaa” at. Some might even say “Wow Tiktok is MY Life Coach too”. Sounds like a win-win to me.
Letters - Wordplay Is My Foreplay Sticker
Some of us have friends or lovers who live in faraway places. Some of us are just hyperliterate assholes who enjoy excuses to write. No matter which guilty party you fall in, there’s definitely room for you to write some thoughtful letters and send them to your favorite people. Stickers can be used to seal an envelope OR as a decorative signature to your message. It might sound extra…but you were about to write a letter in a year where video call exists. We’re way past extra.
Notebook/Planner - Ban Small Talk / Not Books Sticker
Remember back in school when all of the hip kids had super cute journals decorated with the most aesthetically pleasing stickers you ever did see? Now that you’re an adult there’s no need to be jealous, now YOU can be the hip kid with the super cute journal. Stickers really help transform a notebook or planner into a keepsake. Don’t you want your great grandkids to be wowed when you pull out your trendy relic of the past?
Car - Gay > Okay Sticker
Stickers look great on a rear windshield. You’re used to seeing a lot of stickers on the road, surely. There’s the nerdy ones. There’s those cute ones that represent the family (and dogs sometimes) as stick figures. And then there’s the stickers with something to say. More often than not…those stickers are saying some unsavory things. Let’s bring some balance to the messages of the road with a sticker that reminds everyone that Gay is MORE than okay.
]]>Need a little help deciding which love card to buy? We’ve curated some of our favorite love cards and matched them with some of our favorite queer stories to revisit this month:
Angel & Lil Papi (POSE) - Spoiler Alert Love Story Card
This couple served as a bit of a surprise when they started out in season two. But their housemates to lovers storyline is one of the highlights of Pose’s story. Everyone deserves a love interest as patient and selfless as Lil Papi is. Treat your love interest with this card!
Peter & Nick (Single All The Way) - We are my Favorite Rom-Com Card
Christmas in June, anyone? Even if it isn’t the holiday season just yet, Single All The Way is a feel good romcom to be enjoyed year round. It checks all the typical holiday romcom boxes with the added bonus of a friends to lovers storyline about two gay men! Comfort movie bag secured!
Santana & Brittany (Glee) - Remember that Day we got Married Card
There have been a plethora of gay marriages on screen over the years. This wedding stands out as a really special one! Live music? Star-studded guest list? A spicy wedding surprise that DOESN’T involve a character dying before their happy ending? Sign us up! Reminisce on your special day with this card (we’re sure yours was just as eventful).
The Cast of Fire Island - If We Get To Choose Our Family, I Choose You Card
If you haven’t gotten a chance to catch Hulu’s new Pride and Prejudice inspired romcom Fire Island. We think you might be missing out! Chosen family is a huge message in the film and the cast pulls you right into all of the fun and mess that comes with it. I can totally imagine Noah (played by Joel Kim Booster) begrudgingly gifting his crew this sweet greeting card.
Many of these characters and stories will give hope to young queer people for years to come. Consider helping the Trevor Project do support that same cause by donating to them directly or buying some love cards from us this month! Who are some of your favorite examples of queer representation in media?
Temperatures are blazing! Bottles are poppin’! And you’ve been picked as the host! You’re probably a little bit hesitant. Party hosting can be a nightmare!
With our help, however, you’ll flip that “Oh, no!” into an “Oh, yes!” in no time. All you’ll need is these hot tips and a can-do attitude. Actually, the can-do attitude is optional. That’s what drinks are for.
Which brings me to my first point…
If you thought you could plan a party without thinking about liquid refreshment, you’re absolutely wrong! If you really want to make your party one that your guests will remember for years to come…you better mix your own specialty house punch!
There’s hundreds of punch recipes online, both alcoholic and virgin! Mix and match your favorite fruits, spirits, and flavorings to make a punch that’s undeniably you!
And don’t worry about those pesky water rings, PAG has got you covered with some perfect party coasters!
Where there’s drinks, food is sure to follow. You don’t have to be a masterclass chef to host a party, but you certainly have to utilize some finesse when meal planning. Normalize asking your guests about dietary restrictions before the party!
Regardless of what your main course is, snacks and hors d'oeuvres are where it’s at! Charcuterie boards! Fruit baskets! Those party packs of variety chips! All solid options. You could even prepare that fancy baking recipe you saved in your bookmarks but never dared try. No matter what you decide, you're going to need cocktail napkins to make your guests feel fancy while dabbing buffalo sauce off of their faces.
The final puzzle piece of a perfect summer party is the tunes. Take your guests on a summery journey of epic proportions. Making your own playlist is the best way to accomplish this! Add songs that you love! Add songs you know your guests love! Sprinkle in a couple of new/niche songs too!
Pro-tip: make your music set up accessible enough that your guests can add songs to the queue throughout the night. (Spotify has some pretty cool features for this!)
Some of the Pretty Alright Goods staff has taken it upon themselves to serve you some BANGERS to get your playlist started:
Chris: The Stoop - Little Jackie
Jeff: Under the Boardwalk - The Drifters
Herman: So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings - Caroline Polachek
Emily: Across The Room - Young Heat Edition - ODESZA
Matt: All My Friends - LCD Soundsystem
Brennon: Go Away - Strawberry Switchblade Song -
Give our playlist a listen.
Good luck with your party! And always remember, things will never go exactly the way you planned them.
]]>Scared of coming on too strong? This card gives the perfect balance of tact and meaningfulness. Your crush is gonna be like “Wait this is so thoughtful and cute” instead of “Woah this person’s a stage 5 clinger”. That’s exactly what we want!
I think we all have a soft spot for those clandestine meetings under moonlight. There’s just something romantic about prolonged eye contact at a house party neither of you want to be at. Am I projecting? Maybe the two of you met somewhere classier than that! Either way, this card is the perfect way to cement your unique bond!
We love a classic fakeout, and so will your crush! This card is bound to make them giggle a bit. Everyone knows there is a direct pipeline from giggling to making out on the beach. So what if you have to hide your feelings behind your crush’s cute canine to get there? Feels like a worthy tradeoff to me.
Is your summer crush of the digital variety? Somehow you ended up mutuals on TikTok or some other social media site and next thing you know you’re head over heels? Or maybe you just met on a dating app! You could flirt with them through DM, but that’s pretty basic. Make a real emotional impact, and send them this card instead!
This summer of love is a super inclusive one. No matter how you or your crush identify, your feelings are super valid. So act on them, baby! Gift that hottie a card that lays all of your cards out on the table. Because if someone is checking off your gay agenda task list…they should probably know about it.
No more lollygagging! It’s time to seal the deal on these summer crush shenanigans. It’s the final act of your favorite romcom and there’s no more time for games! It’s time to chase them down in a busy airport! It’s time to hold that boombox outside their window! Or…you could just give them this card. Yeah, that’d probably be a little lower stakes.
So there you have it. six impeccable options to fan the flames of your summer love story.
